Just an update on a few more mods. The original turn signal and number plate rear bracket was removed. Some cheap led turn signals were purchased from Ebay and fitted to these made up brackets.
The front turn signals were removed from the top triple clamp bolt as the brackets for them were tearing the tie downs when I was transporting the bike in my trailer. They were remounted where the original Husqvarna indicators were mounted. They just hit the radiator shrouds but I dont see this causing a problem.
A boss was machined up to fit the head stem for the breather hose to sit in.

Unfortunately I believe the dealer has to plug your bike into a computer to be able to tell the amount of hours the bike has been running for.

Its good to hear your enjoying riding and learning about your new bike HaPe.
My RS300R front brake also squeals. It must be the compound in the brake pads that seems to glaze the discs. If I rub my disc with 240 grit wet and dry emery paper it does stop for awhile.
My 300 can also can be hard to start when stalled. If I wind the throttle on gently when starting it starts a lot quicker. -
